Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday virtually attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and chaired the SCO summit. Chinese President XI Jinping , Russian President Vladimir Putin and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif attended the summit.
In the last two decades, SCO has emerged as an important platform for peace, prosperity and development through the Asian region. We have based our efforts on two basic principals, the first is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and the second is security. With this approach, India has built 2 new pillars of cooperation in SCO. Startups and innovations, traditional medicine, youth empowerment, digital inclusion and more.
PM Narendra Modi has targeted Pakistan at the SCO Summit. In his address, he said that some countries are encouraging terrorism. Terrorism is a major threat to the world. We all have to fight together to meet this challenge.
