Some of my friends used to question me, wondering why, if I consider myself spiritual and not religious, I visit the temple every day. They asked, ‘What’s the significance of going to the temple every day when you believe that God is omnipresent?’
In response, I explained that while I believe in God and trust that He is always with me as my guardian angel, my visits to the temple aren’t solely about worship. The temple holds a unique energy and vibration that goes beyond mere religious practices. Throughout the day, we navigate various challenges, engage in negotiations, confrontations, and sometimes find ourselves drained. We experience both joy and struggle, often expressing dissatisfaction with our circumstances.
However, when I stand in front of my God, I choose to surrender. I allow my mind to murmur, opting for calmness and silence. I’ve come to believe that a significant portion of life’s challenges dissipates when you surrender to the divine. In those moments, the mind, which constantly reflects on both the beautiful and challenging aspects of life, finds solace with the help of the divine. It’s similar to a storm in a river settling down, calming the turbulent waters.
